About Rec Alley

Winner of Gymnastics NSW’s Large Club of the Year 2018 award

Rec Alley opened its doors in March, 2017 with a mission to improve the health and wellness of children through a structured Gymnastics program including classes across kinder gym, recreational gymnastics, levels, parkour, trickers, team gym, adults and much more. Going beyond gymnastics, Rec Alley encourages healthy living and great behaviours through designing programs that cover areas such as anti-bullying, diversity and inclusion, socialising and much more.

About the Role

Rec Alley is looking for energetic and passionate advanced level coaches to lead the club’s various recreational and levels programs.

Coaches will be trained across multiple disciplines to teach a wide range of classes. Rec Alley offers a flexible work environment and we are open to international applications.

Whether you are looking for a few hours a week or for a busy week, there are plenty of hours available with Rec Alley classes running 7 days a week. For the right person, there may be opportunities to also take up admin, front desk, membership services and community outreach duties. At Rec Alley we work with your availabilities.

For International Applicants

At Rec Alley, we are open to international applicants looking to live and work in Sydney for more 2+ years, and can help facilitate your move to Sydney.

Rec Alley is located in Gregory Hills, South West Sydney, one of Australia’s fastest growing regions. You can reach both Sydney CBD and Wollongong in 50 minutes to 1 hour. Our friendly team will be able to help orientate you to life and work in Sydney, feel free to ask any questions that may help you.

Duties

  • Coaching a wide range of recreational and levels classes
  • Providing feedback to gymnasts and parents
  • Mentoring new, beginner, intermediate and advanced level coaches
  • Working with the senior management team to develop and improve programming

Skills and experience

  • Advanced coaching accreditation
  • Previous gymnastics coaching experience
  • Ability to give ongoing feedback to gymnasts and parents
  • CPR and First Aid accreditation*
  • Working with Children Check and national police check*

*If you do not currently have these, Rec Alley can help you organise them before commencing coaching duties
