Media Release: Rec Alley Launches Franchise with ‘First Five’ Campaign
Australian children’s recreation brand Rec Alley is launching its national franchise program with a deliberately limited release of just five initial locations, giving its first franchise partners direct access to the company’s CEO and owner.
The ‘First Five’ campaign will seek five inaugural franchise partners to establish the brand’s next phase of growth across Australia.
Rather than pursuing a high-volume rollout, CEO Ozren Vukelic and owner Joel Anderson will work closely with the first five franchisees through establishment, launch and early operations.
Rec Alley will offer a range of small to large-format club models to suit different markets and communities, with estimated establishment investments starting from just under $200,000.
Vukelic said limiting the initial launch to five locations was a deliberate decision.
“Our priority is quality rather than quantity. The First Five will work closely with Joel and me, and our wider team, as they establish and launch their locations.”
“These first franchise partners will have a unique opportunity to work directly with us as we build the network, while giving their businesses every opportunity to establish strong foundations.”
Growing the Rec Alley Experience
Rec Alley operates in the children’s sport and recreation sector, combining gymnastics coaching with a strong focus on creating fun, engaging and welcoming experiences for children and families.
Its coaching and service philosophy, the ‘Rec Alley Way’, provides a consistent framework for how programs and customer experiences are delivered as the business grows.
Owner Joel Anderson said the limited initial rollout was designed to protect that experience while supporting franchisee success.
“There is a significant difference between growing quickly and growing well. We want to start with a small number of committed franchise partners and invest heavily in helping them succeed.”
“We’re looking for people who want to build a great local business, lead a strong team and create an outstanding experience for children and families.”
Free applications, webinar and national roadshow

Rec Alley will also host a franchise information webinar and information roadshow across Australia, giving prospective franchisees the opportunity to meet the team, explore the business model and learn more about the different club formats.
The opportunity is open to people from within the sport, gymnastics, leisure and recreation sectors, as well as experienced operators and entrepreneurs.
