We’ve launched Private Lessons via Zoom
Our goal is to provide our members an opportunity to continue their Rec Alley gymnastics activity and development and also give our coaching team an opportunity to continue working. The team have put together a private lessons program delivered from the gym to your home via Zoom.
How the private lessons work?
30 minute private lesson session are being offered to Rec Alley gymnasts on Mondays and Wednesdays. The sessions commence at 8:15am and the last booking offered is 1:30pm. Sessions are $30 each and can be booked for consecutive weeks. In addition, each private lesson gymnast will be sent through a personalised 7 day program to continue their exercises throughout the week.
Key details:
- $30 for 30 minute private lessons
- Sessions run Monday and Wednesday
- First session is 8:15am and the last at 1:30pm
- Coach Maddie and Coach Gabbi are taking on the classes
- Each coach will also create a personalised 7 day program for each gymnast
- Classes are delivered from the gym via Zoom – if you book more instructions will be provided
- Any Rec Alley member regardless of class can book
About the coaches:
- Both coaches are advanced level accredited
- Coach Maddie and Coach Gabbi also have a lot of experience across a wide range of gymsports
- They will work with each gymnast to individually to tailor a 7 day program
Support Rec Alley
Like many other businesses and individuals, it is a difficult time for our club and coaching team right now. As of 23 March, almost 40 Macarthur locals have no place of work. We are doing everything we can to keep some form of income for as many employees as possible. There may be a shutdown, but we’re not going to stay still or stop gymnastics.
We’ve also had some amazing support from people who want to keep their direct debits going. We didn’t believe this was a fair deal and want to bring our membership something of real value with this as an option to show your support, while keeping your kids active. This support will contribute to ensuring Rec Alley continues into future generations.
IMPORTANT ONLINE SAFETY MESSAGE
While the delivery our online programming is substantially different to usual in centre activity, the importance around child safety does not change. Rec Alley is committed to ensuring that the people who interact with children, young people and vulnerable adults in Rec Alley programs or services, act and communicate in the appropriate approved forums with safety of self and children are of the highest priority.
Rec Alley management enforces and has reviewed relevant policies, procedures, and code of conduct to protect participants, and support your child’s coach, while conducting online training.
NSW Office of Children’s Guardian, under COVID 19 legislation indicates one on one coaching activities are classified in the same category as home tutoring. Parents engaging tutors or coaches for their children should be asking the tutor to provide a Working With Children Check application or clearance number – then verifying that number online.
Once you complete the booking request form below, the coach will be in contact to discuss and confirm private lesson requirements. Furthermore, once the private lesson has been arranged, you will receive useful information from the Director allowing you to verify the coaches Working With Children Check, and links to Gym NSW ‘parent guide to online training’ and eSafety Commissioners ‘online safety kit’ for parents. Guardians will also be required to complete and return a private lesson agreement indicating details of the private lesson, while acknowledging parental responsibilities’
